I have filmed a scrunchie tutorial, after receiving a few requests for it. In the video I show you how to make a scrunchie, using 2 different methods. They are both super quick sews, however I find the second method takes just a wee bit more time and steps, but it has a more finished or professional look. The second method is one I came up with a couple of years ago and I was so proud that I figured it out. I know there are probably similar to this method out there (I'm probably not the first to figure this method out) and there are many tutorials for the first method I showed, but I wanted to film this tutorial after having a few requests for it.
These are great scrap busting projects. Make them for anyone in your life who likes scrunchies or make a bunch for craft fairs.
You can use a regular sewing machine or a serger to make these. For both methods, you will need to use a regular sewing machine to finish them.
Measurements to cut your fabric and 1/4" wide elastic:
- Cut the fabric of your choice 22" long x 4" wide
- Cut the elastic 9" long
